Access to Soğucak Waterfall is only possible by private vehicle; you need to drive approximately 30 kilometers from Sakarya city center towards Sapanca district. Since there is no public transport option, plan your trip accordingly.

Soğucak Waterfall can be considered as a short visit point on its own, or it can be planned as part of the approximately 16-kilometer nature walking route extending to Soğucak Plateau. Driving to the junction and then walking to the waterfall is both a short and scenic option. For those planning a longer day, the route continuing to the plateau offers a different Sakarya experience, passing through linden, beech, and chestnut forests. If you plan to do the full route, consider your physical condition and set off early.

1-2 hours is sufficient for those who only want to see the waterfall and take a short walk. Those who want to complete the full nature walking route extending to Soğucak Plateau should allocate at least 5-7 hours. It is also possible to create a full-day program by combining the waterfall with other natural areas around Sapanca.

Soğucak Waterfall, with its location within the forest, offers a beautiful frame for photography. The path creating a tunnel effect with beech and linden trees as you approach the waterfall is one of the spots where light and green can be captured together, especially in June. The rocky area at the base of the waterfall and the flow of water over the stones can yield striking results with long exposure techniques; it is recommended to bring a tripod for this.

Since the path to the waterfall passes through the forest, non-slip hiking shoes are mandatory; especially during rainy periods, the ground can be very slippery. As there are no sales points or facilities in the vicinity, you should have sufficient water and food with you. There are no food and beverage facilities immediately around Soğucak Waterfall. Various restaurants and cafes are available in Sapanca town center; stopping in Sapanca before or after your visit can be a good option. Sapanca is known for its small eateries offering local flavors of Sakarya cuisine. Preparing a picnic basket for the waterfall visit is also a very common choice.
