When to Visit Sakarya?

The most ideal period to visit Sakarya is spring and autumn. In April-May, the forests and lake shores turn lush green; the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. In October-November, autumn colors spread like a painting, especially around Acarlar Floodplain Forest and Taraklı.

In summer, the Karasu coast becomes lively; July-August can be a suitable choice for those who want to enjoy the sea and sun. However, keep in mind that it can be crowded on weekends during this period. In winter, the city becomes calmer; winter can also be considered for thermal spa experiences and indoor museum visits. Do not forget that forest roads can be muddy in early spring when it rains.
