Karıncalı Dede Tomb

Karıncalı Dede Tomb stands on a high rock by the Adapazarı-Bilecik E-25 Highway, in Adliye Village, Arifiye district of Sakarya. The tomb belongs to a Turkmen saint whose real name was Abdullah Bin Yaşari, known among the local people as Karınca Baba or Karıncalı Dede. This structure, visited as part of faith tourism, draws attention with both its spiritual meaning and the legend it embodies.

The wooded area around the tomb offers visitors a peaceful environment. Since the asphalt road extends all the way to the tomb, it is not difficult to reach in any season.

The tomb is suitable for visits in all seasons; thanks to the asphalt road, access is not a problem even in winter. Spring, when the surrounding trees turn green, and autumn, when the leaves change color, are the periods that best reflect the natural environment of the tomb. The tomb is quieter in the morning hours.

The tomb is approximately 12 kilometers from Adapazarı city center, located in the Adliye Village area on the Adapazarı-Bilecik E-25 Highway. Since it is situated on a high rock, it is easily noticeable from the highway. While it is possible to reach the tomb by public transport, going by private car is both the most practical and most comfortable option.

The tomb's location on a high rock allows you to capture powerful compositions framing both the structure itself and the surrounding wooded area. Photographing the tomb from different angles of the rock highlights its silhouette integrated with nature. Shots taken at midday when sunlight falls on the tomb can be quite impressive.

As the tomb is a religious site, a quiet and respectful demeanor is expected during the visit. The ground on the rock where the tomb is located may be uneven; it is advisable to wear comfortable and sturdy-soled shoes.
