Colonel Reşat Çiğiltepe Martyrs' Memorial

Colonel Reşat Bey was a commander who served on the front lines during the most challenging days of the War of Independence, and who was awarded numerous medals for his superior courage and leadership skills throughout his military life. What etched his name in history was not only his military achievements but also his deep commitment to his word and honor. Public transportation options are quite limited; there is no regular service. If you are departing from Afyonkarahisar or Sandıklı, renting a car or joining an organized tour group would be the healthiest choice. Since a part of the climbing road is narrow and winding, going with high-traction vehicles offers a more comfortable experience.
