July and August weekends are the busiest times on the coast; if you prefer a calmer atmosphere, weekdays or morning hours would be a good choice.

Spring and autumn months are quite enjoyable for walking; the weather is cool, and the coast is relatively less crowded. Although the sea season closes in winter, the coast road is accessible for walking all year round.

The most practical way to reach Atakum Coast Road from Samsun city center is to use the Atatürk Boulevard route. This journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes by car, which may extend slightly depending on traffic density. If you prefer not to use a private vehicle, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality's city buses running towards Atakum operate regular services. Parking areas are available along the coastal strip, but they can be full on summer weekends. Coming by bicycle is both practical and an enjoyable alternative for exploring the coast road.

Along Atakum Coast Road, there are numerous dining options catering to different budgets. Fresh fish, especially anchovies unique to the Black Sea, are a staple at the fish restaurants along the coast. Coffee break options are also quite extensive; there are many places to sit and enjoy tea or coffee with a sea view.

If you're looking for something lighter, there are also street vendors offering street foods like simit, corn, and similar snacks along the coast. For dinner, you can also consider restaurants in the Atakum district center, close to the coast.

The most captivating photo moments on Atakum Coast Road occur during sunset hours. The sun descending on the Black Sea horizon, combined with the piers lined along the coast and the silhouettes of people walking, creates impressive shots. The piers and the walking path stretching along the coast also provide a good backdrop for wide-angle shots.

Start from one end of the coast and proceed along the walking path; stop at one of the piers to watch the sea. At lunchtime, enjoy fresh fish at one of the fish restaurants on the coast. In the afternoon, spend time on the beach or cycle along the coast. You can complete the day by sitting at a cafe in the late afternoon and watching the sunset.

The Black Sea can have stronger currents compared to the Aegean and Mediterranean. When swimming, make sure to stay in areas where lifeguards are on duty and pay attention to flag warnings. As the coast can get quite crowded in summer, it is advisable to watch your valuables. Sunscreen and a hat are essential, especially during summer afternoons.
