The most suitable period to see Savruk Cave and Waterfall is between April and June. During these months, the waterfall's flow, fed by melting snow, is high, and the surroundings take on a lush green appearance. In July-August, the area becomes quite crowded; it may be difficult to find a gazebo on weekends. Autumn months offer a quieter visit, but the waterfall's water may have decreased. In winter, it is recommended to check the condition of the road to Ilıca Neighborhood from local sources before setting off.

To reach Savruk Cave, which is approximately 65 km from Kahramanmaraş city center, you need to head towards Onikişubat district and reach Ilıca Neighborhood. The road after the neighborhood entrance is asphalt but narrow, steep, and in some places, in poor condition. Traveling with high-clearance or robust suspension vehicles will make your journey much more comfortable. Public transportation options are very limited; using a private car or rental car is the most practical way. Savruk Waterfall offers a powerful photographic subject, especially when it flows at full capacity in spring. To capture the waterfall and the cave entrance in the same frame, you can step back a bit and shoot from a higher point. The play of light over the water inside the cave creates beautiful reflections in the middle of the day. Along the Kısık Canyon route, there are also many stopping points to photograph the rocky texture and valley view.

The inside of the cave is cool and humid all year round; wearing sturdy, non-slip shoes is important for both safety and comfort. Visitor comments mention that a separate fee is requested for gazebo use; if you are planning a picnic, it would be beneficial to clarify this in advance or prepare your own equipment. The area can be busy on weekends; arriving early makes it easier to find parking and a resting area. Don't forget to bring enough drinking water and snacks; food options in the area are said to be limited.

While there is a small facility similar to a restaurant around Savruk Cave, visitors state that the food options offered are limited. If you want to enjoy Kahramanmaraş cuisine, choosing restaurants in the city center will provide a much better experience. On your return to the city, don't forget to taste Kahramanmaraş's famous pounded ice cream and tarhana soup. If you plan to have a picnic, preparing and bringing your food in advance will be both economical and practical.

Savruk Cave and Waterfall can be planned as a day trip from Kahramanmaraş. The cave and waterfall together offer a 2-3 hour visit. For those who want to include the Kısık Canyon route, it would be appropriate to allocate an additional half-day. Starting from Kahramanmaraş city center in the morning, you can first follow the Kısık Canyon route, then reach Savruk Cave and Waterfall. After visiting the cave and waterfall, you can return via the same route around noon and have lunch in Kahramanmaraş city center.
