Aladağlar National Park is a 55,064-hectare natural area spanning the provincial borders of Kayseri, Niğde, and Adana, protected since 1995; it is known for mountaineering, trekking, the Seven Lakes, Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls, and Hacer Forests.
Aladağlar National Park is located in the steepest and highest part of the Central Taurus Mountains. Approximately 31,000 hectares of the total 55,064-hectare area fall within the borders of Yahyalı district of Kayseri; the remaining parts are shared with Niğde and Adana provinces. The park gained national park status in 1995. Visitors describe this area as a sanctuary for mountaineers; due to its high altitude, steep cliffs, and challenging passes, it is particularly preferred by experienced mountaineers and trekking enthusiasts.
Among the most well-known points of the park are the Hacer Forests, the Boğaz Canyon within these forests, and the Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls. The best window to visit Aladağlar extends from mid-May to the end of September. During this period, the snow has largely receded, and hiking trails become passable. How to Get There?
The most common way to reach Aladağlar National Park is to come to Yahyalı district via Kayseri. There is approximately 30 km from Yahyalı to the park entrance. Visitors landing at Kayseri Erkilet Airport can rent a car and follow this route. It is also possible to reach the park via Niğde; this route may be shorter, especially for those coming from Adana or Niğde. Some roads within the park are tractor paths and are more easily traversed with high-traction vehicles.

The park's most popular route is the Hacer Forests – Boğaz Canyon – Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls line. Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls are the most attractive spot for photographers, especially in spring and early summer when the water flow is high. Reflection photos around the Seven Lakes and the light filtering through the dense trees of Hacer Forests are also popular shots. Things to Consider
A large part of the park has a rocky and uneven structure; suitable spots for those looking for flat picnic areas are quite limited.
