The most suitable seasons to visit the park are spring and autumn. April–June offers a pleasant picture in terms of both air temperature and the greenery of the surroundings. A common complaint from visitors is that the trees do not provide enough shade in mid-summer; it is more logical to prefer early hours or late afternoon during July–August. The pond view looks especially beautiful in the evening.

Şehr-i Derya Park is located on the 15th kilometer of the Eskişehir–Ankara highway, right next to Kanlıpınar Pond. It is close to the ring road from the organized industrial zone exit. Since the park is a certain distance from the city center, public transportation is quite limited. Parking is available for those coming by car. It is also possible to reach by taxi from the city center.

There is a buffet in the park; visitors say it is sufficient to meet basic needs. One should not go with expectations of a wide variety of food and drink options. For those planning a picnic, bringing their own food is both more economical and practical.
