Nasuh Pasha Complex

The most comfortable time to visit the complex is spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October). During these months, Aydın's temperature is milder, making it pleasant to stroll in the courtyard. In summer, the stone floor and walls get quite hot during midday; it is much better to come before 09:00 AM or in the late afternoon. The complex is significantly calmer during weekday visits. Visitors also say that the peaceful atmosphere of the place is not disturbed on holidays and weekends.

The complex is located in Köprülü Neighborhood, Aydın city center, north of Atatürk Sports Hall. It is accessible by city buses and minibuses. It's a few minutes by taxi from Aydın bus station or train station. If you are staying in the city, you can easily walk there. Those coming by car can find parking nearby; it is recommended to proceed carefully due to narrow streets.

The cafe within the Zincirli Han of the complex offers Turkish coffee and hot beverages. Visitors particularly say that drinking hot coffee by the stove in cold weather blends very well with the atmosphere of the place; they also emphasize that the prices are reasonable. There is a pleasant street full of cafes and restaurants very close to the complex; those looking for wider meal options can visit this street a few steps away.

The spacious courtyard of the complex, the facades presenting a combination of stone and brick textures, and the two-story arcade row of Zincirli Han are the most productive spots for photography. The texture of the stone surfaces stands out much more clearly between 08:00-09:00 AM or in the late afternoon light. The mihrab and architectural details of the masjid are also valuable for close-up shots. Corner stones where spolia materials are used can offer interesting frames when searched with a curious eye.

Caravanserai (Zincirli Han): This two-story, courtyard structure, a typical example of Ottoman urban caravanserais, functioned as a center where travelers stayed and trade was conducted; today it is used as a hotel.

Madrasah (Osman Ağa Madrasah): The educational building of the complex, the madrasah, is also known as the Osman Ağa Madrasah. Some of its interior spaces are currently used for community activities such as municipal courses.

Masjid: The prayer area of the complex, the masjid, is open to visitors for prayer. Visitors describe the masjid as a peaceful and simple place of worship.

Turkish Bath: Consisting of changing rooms, a warm room, a hot room, and a water tank, the Turkish bath exhibits the characteristics of Ottoman bath architecture.

You need to take off your shoes when entering the masjid and dress appropriately. Since some parts of the complex are actively used (course classrooms, hotel, cafe), pay attention to the guidance of staff when entering these areas. As there is no clear information regarding official visiting hours, it is recommended to confirm with an official source before visiting. Since the complex ground is stone-paved, choosing comfortable shoes will make your visit easier.
