Hacılar Bridge
Rising over the Hayrabolu Stream, Hacılar Bridge is a six-arched Ottoman-era stone bridge built in 1859. Commissioned by Governor Ahmet Ataullah Bey, this structure, although closed to vehicle traffic today, is one of the region's important cultural heritage sites as a historical monument. You can allocate approximately 1.5 hours to visit the bridge.
Sarbanı Ahmed Tomb
Located in the Hayrabolu district center, the Sarbanı Ahmed Tomb belongs to Sheikh Ahmed Sârban, one of the important religious figures of the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. Next to the tomb, which is visited as part of faith tourism, there is also a small mosque and an ablution fountain. The garden of the tomb is very well-maintained, where you can take a peaceful break. An average of 1.5 hours will be sufficient for a visit.
Muratlı İnanlı Recreation Area
This 37,000 square meter recreation area, built around the historical İnanlı Fountain in the Muratlı district, is ideal for both picnicking and nature walks. With a 1.5 km brick dust walking path, barbecue areas, and children's playgrounds, it is a pleasant stop where you can spend time with your family. The bicycle path along the Meriç River also adds to its appeal. You can spend 1.5 hours here as well.
Muratlı Atatürk House
This house, where Atatürk stayed during his visit to Muratlı in 1936, has been converted into a museum today. This historical building, protected by the Ministry of Culture, sheds light on the migration history of Thrace with photographs, documents, and belongings from the period. In this small but spiritually valuable place, you can also see a poem written by Atatürk. You can experience this important monument with approximately a 1.5-hour visit.
İbrahim Balaban Museum
Established in a historical two-story Tekirdağ house in the Süleymanpaşa district, the İbrahim Balaban Museum exhibits the works of the famous painter and writer İbrahim Balaban, who depicted the Anatolian peasant with social realism. The artist's personal belongings can also be seen here. Allocate 1.5 hours to this museum to witness the life and art of Balaban, who started painting under the guidance of Nâzım Hikmet.
Music Technologies Museum
The Music Technologies Museum, the first of its kind in Turkey, was opened by the Süleymanpaşa Municipality in 2017. In addition to traditional instruments such as ney, bağlama, oud, and qanun, you can also see the stages of musical instrument making here. This museum, brought to life with the contributions of high school students and parents, reflects Tekirdağ's music culture. You can spend approximately 1.5 hours here as well.
Old Tekirdağ Photographs Museum
Located in a historical mansion built in 1908, this museum presents Tekirdağ's 150-year visual memory. You can take a nostalgic journey into the city's past with over 1500 photographs compiled by the Greek-origin Mavridis family. This collection, which also includes documents from the population exchange period, becomes more meaningful with expert guides. You can also allocate 1.5 hours to this museum.
Historical Beşevler
In Süleymanpaşa, the Historical Beşevler, rare examples of 19th-century traditional Turkish residential architecture, have been restored and serve as a boutique hotel, restaurant, and cafe. These structures, which preserve the old urban fabric of the city, also attract attention with their sea view from the terrace floor. You can take a coffee break here and relax. A 1.5-hour visit is ideal.
Italian Mansion
You can end your day at the Italian Mansion, which operates in the historical Dussi family mansion. With Neapolitan-style pizzas, handmade pastas, and a wide selection of wines, it offers a special dinner experience with its elegant interior and garden. You should also try delicacies such as tiramisu and beef carpaccio. Approximately 1.5 hours will be sufficient for dinner.
On this route, using a taxi or private car for intra-city transportation will be the most comfortable option. For lunch, you can prefer local restaurants around your stops, and for dinner, you can head to the options in Süleymanpaşa center.
