Osman Ağa Mansion is a late 19th-century Ottoman mansion located at the foot of Sivas Castle; built with stone, adobe, and wood, it was restored in 2003 and today operates partly as a restaurant.
Osman Ağa Mansion stands in the Kaleardı neighborhood, right at the foot of Sivas Castle. It dates back to the late 19th century - early 20th century and is also known as the Mesrur Süreyya Başar Mansion. Its ground floor is made of cut stone, and its upper floors have adobe infill between wooden frames; with its broken roof covered with Ottoman tiles and wide eaves, it reflects the late period Sivas civil architecture.
The structure was built with a central hall plan, and the harem-selamlik (women's and men's quarters) separation is still discernible. Entry is through a double-winged wooden door from the garden, with the west facade facing the street. Two separate entrances on the south facade are accessed by seven stone steps each. In 2003, the Sivas Governorship carried out the restoration, and in 2004, it was opened as the Sivas Service Foundation Headquarters. Together with its neighbor Abdi Ağa Mansion and Sivas Castle, it has given the area a historical texture.
Today, a section of the mansion operates as a restaurant. The rooms are decorated in accordance with their original style, and visitors can enjoy local dishes here. Thus, one can come not only to see the architecture but also to taste something from Sivas cuisine.

The mansion is in an open area, around the castle. Spring and autumn are more comfortable for walking. Sivas winters are harsh, and summer midday temperatures can be high. Visiting during the day is more advantageous to see both the exterior facade and the bay window in good light.

The mansion is located in Sivas Center, Kaleardı neighborhood, at Mum Baba Street No:15. It can be reached by walking from the city center or by a short taxi ride. If you are visiting Sivas Castle, the mansion is already on your route, so no separate travel plan is needed.

Sivas Castle area, Abdi Ağa Mansion, and Osman Ağa Mansion are close to each other; all three can be visited on the same walking route.
