The best time to visit Vezirköprü is between May and July. During these months, Kunduz Forests and Şahinkaya Canyon display the most vibrant shades of green; weather conditions are also very suitable for canyon walks. In winter months, access to the district can become difficult, and some natural areas may be closed to access.

The most common way to reach Vezirköprü from Samsun is by road. After passing through Havza towards Boyabat, the district is reached after approximately another 30 kilometers. There are regular bus services from Samsun bus terminal to Vezirköprü; the journey takes about 2–2.5 hours. To reach natural areas outside the district, such as Vezirsuyu Nature Park, it is necessary to use a private car or local taxi; public transport does not operate direct services to these points.

For a single-day visit, it makes sense to start from the district center. After a short walk around the Historical Plane Tree and the Clock Tower, you can proceed to Taşhan. The streets with traditional Vezirköprü houses are interesting both for their historical texture and for photography. In the afternoon, you can drive to Vezirsuyu Nature Park or Şahinkaya Canyon. If a second day is added to the program, Kunduz Forests and Fazıl Ahmet Paşa Madrasah can also be included in the list.

Vezirköprü hosts small artisan restaurants offering the simple yet satisfying flavors of Black Sea cuisine. Local pastries, fresh vegetable dishes, and Black Sea style pita are among the indispensable items at these eateries. There are also small cafes associated with accommodation facilities around Vezirsuyu Nature Park; if you are going on long nature walks, it would be wise to bring food and drinks with you.

Small-scale hotels and guesthouses in Vezirköprü center are among the accommodation options. For those who prefer a nature-oriented experience, the boutique hotels and tent camping areas within Vezirsuyu Nature Park offer a distinct alternative. It is advisable to contact the relevant facilities in advance for availability and reservation conditions of the camping areas.

Among the prominent spots for photography in Vezirköprü are the streets with traditional Vezirköprü houses; with their wooden facades and narrow passages, these neighborhoods carry a unique atmosphere. The Historical Plane Tree offers an impressive frame with its centuries-old trunk. For nature photographers, the rocky slopes of Şahinkaya Canyon and the dense canopy of Kunduz Forests create distinct shooting areas. In autumn, the play of light within the forests also produces striking images.

Some of the historical structures in Vezirköprü district center are actively in use; since visiting hours and access conditions may vary, it is recommended to call Vezirköprü Municipality or the relevant facility for information before visiting. Access to natural areas such as Vezirsuyu Nature Park and the canyon may be restricted outside of the season. For those planning to camp, it is advisable to make reservations in advance as the capacity of the areas is limited.
