Topçam Plateau is located within the borders of Yeşilce and Topçam towns, which are part of the Mesudiye district; it is actually a large region that also includes the Kızılağaç, Beyağaç, Kıyıyurt, and Çukuralan plateaus. It was declared a tourism center by a Cabinet decision in 1998. More than 170 flower species have been identified in Kızılağaç Plateau alone, which is why the region is also a frequent destination for botanists.

Plateau tourism experiences its most active period between June and September. During these months, Traditional Culture and Plateau Festivals are held, and the meadows are at their greenest. In May and October, the weather cools down, and some buffets and facilities may be closed. Since it is a plateau covered with snow in winter, transportation becomes difficult.
How to Get There
Ordu city center is 114 kilometers from Mesudiye district. From Mesudiye, the road to the plateau is asphalt, and the distance varies between 18-25 kilometers according to sources. Going by your own car is the most comfortable option. The road is narrow and winding in places, be careful, especially on the descent. Public transportation options are limited; taking a taxi from Mesudiye is an alternative.
How Much Time to Allocate
2-4 hours are sufficient for walking within the plateau, taking breaks at fountains, and taking photos. If you want to visit surrounding plateaus like Çukuralan and Kıyıyurt, it can extend to a full day. It is possible to go and return on a day trip without staying overnight in Mesudiye, but you need to leave early.
Route Suggestion
Leave Ordu city center early in the morning and reach Mesudiye, take a short break there. If you want to check out the surrounding Kızılağaç and Beyağaç plateaus before heading to Topçam Plateau, you can reach them via small turn-offs along the way. A local breakfast break in Mesudiye center on the way back completes the route.
