The most suitable period for Yaka Park is the summer season, extending from early May to late October. The cooling effect of the mountain water is most pronounced during these months amidst Fethiye's scorching heat. Between June and August, the facility gets quite crowded; it is especially packed on weekends. If you want a quieter visit, prefer weekdays. Although the weather is cool in April and November, it is necessary to confirm whether the facility is open before going.

Yaka Park is approximately 27 km from Fethiye city center in the direction of Saklıkent. For those coming from Kaş, the distance is around 75 km. After seeing the Yakaköy sign, it is enough to go 1 km up the village. Since the facility is off the main road, there is no public transport; a private car or taxi is the most practical option. Jeep safari tours departing from Fethiye can also include Yaka Park in their itinerary; you can research tours in this direction.

The most famous delicacy of Yaka Park is fresh trout. The fish, raised in the cold mountain waters flowing through the facility, are repeatedly highlighted in visitor reviews. Local dishes such as 'saç kavurma' (sautéed meat) and chicken pasta are also on the menu. A spread breakfast option is also available; especially those staying overnight have breakfast here and spend the day exploring the region. You may be asked to order food to sit in the pavilions; if you only want to drink tea, don't forget to ask in advance.

Yaka Park offers beautiful shots during hours when natural light filters through the tree shadows. The stone tables under the monumental plane and willow trees, the daybeds lined along the water channels, and the wooden pavilions are the most preferred shooting spots. Wooden bridges crossing over the water also provide an interesting perspective. Since the sun is directly overhead at noon, taking photos in the morning or late afternoon yields better results.

If you are coming only for food and relaxation, half a day to 5 hours is sufficient. Since the facility also offers accommodation, a stay of 1–2 nights is a logical choice for a program that includes the nearby Ancient City of Tlos, Saklıkent Canyon, and Fethiye coves. This way, you can experience the facility during quieter hours and explore the region more comfortably.

If you are planning a Fethiye-based trip, you can fit Yaka Park into the same day as Saklıkent Canyon; the two points are very close to each other. Visiting the canyon in Saklıkent in the morning and then moving to Yaka Park in the afternoon allows you to enjoy both the cool canyon and the fresh trout at the facility on the same day. The Ancient City of Tlos is also on the same route and worth a visit if it's on your way. For those coming from Antalya or Kaş, Yaka Park serves as a natural stop before or after Fethiye.

Yaka Park is busy on weekends and during summer holidays; advance reservation is recommended for pavilions or accommodation. It is not possible to reach the facility by public transport, so plan your transportation in advance. Some visitors mention a requirement to order food to sit in the pavilions; if you only want to have drinks, clarify this beforehand. While the cold mountain water is enjoyable for children, small children should be supervised near the water's edge.
