Phrygian Highlands Asmainler Hidden Valley

The most suitable period to visit Asmainler Hidden Valley is during the spring and summer months, from April to September. In winter, the weather in the region can be quite harsh and cold; visitors do not particularly recommend this period. In spring, the valley turns green, and the scenery around Lake Emre reaches its most beautiful state. In summer, you can comfortably complete the trails by taking advantage of the long daylight hours.

Asmainler Hidden Valley is reached by approximately 70 km of asphalt road from Eskişehir city center, 25 km from Seyitgazi district center, and 5 km from Kırka town. Passing through Seyitgazi to Kırka is the most commonly used route. Since public transportation options are quite limited, coming by private car is much more practical for both comfort and flexibility. Visitors particularly emphasize that even when traveling by car, the valley scenery is enjoyable.

There is no large food and beverage facility directly within or in the immediate vicinity of the valley. You can meet your basic needs in Kırka town and Seyitgazi district center. If you are planning a long trip, it is recommended to bring food and plenty of water with you. Phrygia Organic Village House in Üçlerkayas Village can also be an option for local delicacies in addition to accommodation.

The most prominent accommodation option in the region is the Phrygia Organic Village House in Üçlerkayas Village. Visitors recommend allocating at least one day, and preferably more; staying overnight in the village house allows you to see the valley more calmly and deeply. For wider hotel options, Seyitgazi or Eskişehir city center can be preferred.

The fairy chimneys around Lake Emre are among the most striking photo spots in the region. Visitors liken this landscape to a miniature version of Nevşehir. Angles looking up from the valley floor and panoramic views from high points are also favorites of photography enthusiasts. Photos taken in the morning light or during the golden hour best reflect the depth and texture of the valley.

Directional signs in the region can be insufficient; it is important to download an offline map in advance or determine your route. Since hiking trails can be long and uneven, comfortable, sturdy-soled shoes are essential. In winter, weather conditions can be harsher than expected. As there are active villages in the region, it is necessary to be respectful of the environment and protect natural areas. Although entry is free, it is recommended to go prepared as there are no ATMs or large markets in the immediate vicinity.

Starting from Eskişehir, you can reach Kırka town via Seyitgazi and then proceed to Asmainler Hidden Valley. Within the valley, Lake Emre and the surrounding fairy chimneys are the first must-see stops. Afterwards, exploring the historical structures and villages and progressing along the hiking trails is a recommended route. Nearby Ayazini Village can also be added to the visit list. Although a day trip is possible, staying overnight in Üçlerkayas Village allows you to get to know the region much better.
