The complex, spread over approximately 500 m², has an interior space of 290 m². The square-planned mosque is covered with a dome with triangular transitions; the use of ashlar masonry immediately draws attention.
To the northwest of the mosque, about 5 meters from the last congregation area, stands the tomb, which also has a square plan. Distinct architectural elements are noticeable at the corners of the structure, measuring 6.45 x 6.45 meters. Since Yakup Çelebi, who died in 1389, was buried in Bursa next to his father's tomb, this structure in Iznik serves as a symbolic tomb (makam türbesi). The building was also used as a museum depot for a period in 1934.
