1–2 hours is sufficient for the museum itself. If you are going all the way to Elmalı, it would not be very sensible to limit yourself only to the museum. If the nearby Arykanda Ancient City, Avlan Lake, and the district's historical bazaar are added to the list of places to visit, a full-day or an overnight stay plan would be much more productive.
Suggested Itinerary
You can set off from Antalya early in the morning and first visit the Arykanda Ancient City; from there, the transfer to Elmalı district center takes about 30 minutes. After lunch, you can visit the Elmalı Museum and explore the historical texture of the district on foot. Stopping by the view of Avlan Lake on the way back would be a nice conclusion. This entire itinerary can be completed in a single day.
