Sedir Island Archaeological Site (Ancient City of Kedrai)

Located in the east of Gökova Bay, Sedir Island hosts the ruins of the ancient city of Kedrai. This small island attracts attention not only with its natural beauties but also with the ancient structures it contains, such as an amphitheater. As you walk along the paths among olive trees, you can follow the traces of history and find yourself in a different time period among the ruins of the ancient city. Approximately 1.5 hours will be enough to explore the entire island.

Cleopatra Beach (Sedir Island)

One of the most well-known spots on Sedir Island, Cleopatra Beach is famous for its legendary fine-grained sands and clear turquoise waters. According to a local story, these sands were brought from Egypt. The sand of the beach is a special type of limestone formed by geological formations and is under protection. For this reason, taking sand from the beach is not allowed. When you reach the island by boat, you can allocate approximately 1.5 hours to swim and sunbathe on this unique beach.

İncekum Beach

Located directly opposite Sedir Island, İncekum Beach stands out with its fine and soft sands, as its name suggests (İncekum means 'fine sand'). This sheltered cove, surrounded by pine forests, offers visitors a calm sea experience with its turquoise waters. It is ideal especially for those looking for a beach experience away from the crowds. After Sedir Island, you can stop here to relax and shake off the day's fatigue. Although there is an entrance fee to the beach, parking is free. You can spend approximately 1.5 hours here as well.

At the end of your day spent in this special corner of Gökova Bay, you can find restaurants in Çamlı Village where you can taste fresh seafood. Access to the island and beaches is usually provided by boat tours, so it is useful to check tour times and current information in advance.
