Zinav Lake Nature Park

Spring and summer months are the most suitable period for the lake. During these months, the water level appears fuller, and the surrounding vegetation retains its greenery. In winter, access to the region can be difficult, especially due to snow-covered roads. Visiting on weekdays is a quieter option for those who want to avoid weekend crowds.

From Tokat city center, it takes approximately 1.5 hours by private car, with a distance of around 99 km. From Reşadiye district center, it is 17-20 km away. Two different routes can be used: the Aybastı-Reşadiye highway via Güvendik, or by turning off the D-100 highway onto the Çevrecik road and driving approximately 10 km. The lake is 3 km from Yolüstü, also known as Meğedün Village. Public transport options are limited; going by your own car or a rental car is the most practical way.

Zinav Lake should be considered a short nature break; 2-4 hours is sufficient. This time is enough for walking by the lake, picnicking, and taking photos. If you are planning a longer excursion, you can extend your day by adding other natural spots in the region, such as Saklıkent, to your itinerary.

Starting from Reşadiye district center, you can first have a picnic and a short walk at Zinav Lake. Afterwards, you can inquire about a boat tour; however, the boat is sometimes out of order, so it's good to have an alternative plan. On the same day, you can continue towards Saklıkent to visit other natural spots in the region. Those who want to take photos can prefer the lakeside seating areas.

There is a fee for vehicle entry: reported to be around 405₺ for minibuses or mobile caravans, 675₺ for midibuses, and 1,350₺ for buses. Some sources mention a 100 TL per person entrance fee, this difference may vary according to the current tariff. Tent site fees are charged separately. If you bring your own picnic supplies, you can save on buffet expenses. Confirm current fees with an official source before you go.

Boat tours may not always be active; some visitors report encountering broken boats. Therefore, it is more realistic to consider a boat tour as an activity to do if possible, rather than a definite plan. Projects like bungalows and a scenic viewpoint have not yet been completed, so it is necessary to go without expecting these facilities to be available. The road can be narrow in some sections, so careful driving is recommended.

The lakeside seating areas offer the opportunity to frame both the lake and the surrounding canyon texture. The light is softer in the morning hours, and reflections on the water's surface are more prominent at these times. The walking route on the canyon side can also be preferred by those looking for different angles.
