Eminem Spring / Yokuşdibi Recreation Area

You follow the road from Ordu city center towards Kabadüz. It's 15 km to Kabadüz center, and then another 5 km on the road connecting to Yokuşdibi. The total distance from the center is 33 km. Sources state that there are no transportation problems all twelve months of the year, meaning the road does not close in winter. Going by private car is the most practical method. Since the last part of the road has the character of a plateau road, careful driving may be required in rainy weather.

Since it is at an altitude of 1656 meters, the weather is always cooler than in Ordu city center. Summer months are the most comfortable period for picnics and walks; even in July-August, those who want to escape the city heat come here. Since the mountain lodge is open all four seasons, it is also an option for those looking for a different experience in the snowy season. Autumn is one of the periods when the spruce forest takes on a different appearance.

Eminem Spring is listed among Ordu's hiking routes. It can be planned as a standalone day trip, or as part of a route continuing towards Çambaşı Plateau. Adding Kabadüz center to the route is a logical stop for a short break before reaching the recreation area.

Half a day is sufficient for just a picnic and a short walk. If you plan to stay overnight at the mountain lodge, you need to calculate one day and one night. The area being 30 hectares also makes it worthwhile to spend some time exploring different corners of the forest.

Since the altitude is high, the weather is a few degrees cooler than in the city; even in summer, bringing a light jacket is useful. The area's infrastructure is at Type A recreation area standard, but this does not mean city park comfort. It is a safer approach to bring your own water and basic necessities. Those considering accommodation at the mountain lodge need to confirm reservation and availability status in advance with the local administration of Kabadüz or Yokuşdibi.

The dense texture of the Oriental spruce forest is suitable for shots where light filters through the trees, especially in the morning. The spring itself and the stone structure around it form a natural focal point for close-ups. Due to the high altitude, the forest gains a different atmosphere on foggy days, which provides an opportunity to capture unusual shots.
