The most suitable period for Yeşilyurt is between April-June and September-November. During these months, the weather is mild, and the forested areas are vibrant and green. In mid-summer, Mula city center can be quite hot; although the town's pine forests provide some coolness, it's advisable to go prepared. In winter, the region becomes deserted, and minibus frequency decreases.

The easiest way to reach Yeşilyurt is by minibuses departing from Mula bus station. There is a service every hour from the station, and the journey takes approximately 20-25 minutes. For those coming by private car, the road from Mula city center to the town is 14 kilometers. It is also possible to reach by taxi. Before you go, confirm the minibus times at Mula bus station.

When Yeşilyurt is considered together with Mula city center, a half-day program is sufficient. You can allocate 2-4 hours for a short walk in the forested areas and to breathe in the tranquil atmosphere of the town. If you combine it with Mula's historical center, museum, and mosques, it makes for a full-day itinerary.

Starting from Mula city center, you can first visit historical sites such as Konakaltı Han and Kurşunlu Mosque, and then proceed to Yeşilyurt. After a short walk in the forested areas of the town, you can catch a return minibus to Mula bus station. For those with a car, an itinerary can be created that combines it with other natural spots around Mula.

Accommodation options in Yeşilyurt are quite limited. The vast majority of visitors stay in Mula city center and come here for a day trip. In Mula city center, there are boutique hotels, guesthouses, and apartment options. For those who want a wider range of accommodation, nearby tourist centers such as Bodrum, Marmaris, or Fethiye can also be preferred.

Dining options in Yeşilyurt are limited. If you want to taste the flavors of Mula cuisine, it is better to head to Mula city center. You can find Mula's famous pişi (a fried dough pastry), keşkek, and local olive oil dishes in restaurants in the center. I recommend taking snacks with you when you go to the town.

Yeşilyurt's roads surrounded by pine trees and its forested areas provide a beautiful backdrop for nature photography. The views extending to the Mula plain and the surrounding mountains can also be considered for photos. In the morning, when the light hits the forest, the shots yield much more impressive results.

Since minibus times may vary by season, it is important to find out the return time in advance. If you are going to hike in forested areas, wear appropriate shoes and carry enough water. It may be difficult to find ATMs or large supermarkets in the town; get your necessities from Mula city center before heading out.
