Eskişehir Eti Archaeology Museum

The Eti Archaeology Museum was built with the financial support of Eti Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. and was opened to Eskişehir on May 28, 2011. Located on Atatürk Boulevard, right next to the historical texture of the Odunpazarı district, the two-story museum houses artifacts obtained from archaeological excavations carried out in the region.

The collection includes marble sculptures and statuettes, architectural pieces, inscribed steles, terracotta daily-use vessels, idols, glass vessels, and beads. The artifacts primarily belong to the Roman period and earlier ancient times. The exhibition layout is designed with explanatory information panels; visitors without archaeological knowledge can easily grasp the context of the artifacts.

As the museum is an indoor space, it can be visited at any time of the year. It is open 7 days a week, from 08:00–19:00 during the summer period (April 1 – October 1) and from 08:00–17:00 during the winter period (October 1 – April 1). Considering the early closing time in winter, you might prefer to visit before noon.

The museum's address is Akarbaşı Mahallesi, Atatürk Bulvarı No:64, Odunpazarı, Eskişehir. It can be reached by tram or municipal buses that follow the Odunpazarı route from the city center. Those arriving by tram can reach the museum with a short walk from the nearest stop.

Those arriving by car can find parking spaces near the museum on Atatürk Boulevard. Since the museum is approximately 850 meters from Odunpazarı's historical houses, it is also easy to explore the area on foot.

Instead of planning the Eti Archaeology Museum as a standalone stop, incorporating it into the Odunpazarı cultural route makes the visit much more efficient. You can visit the museum in the morning and then explore Odunpazarı's historical wooden houses, the Yılmaz Büyükerşen Wax Sculptures Museum, and the Science Experiment Center on the same day.

It is possible to maintain a relaxed pace throughout the day by taking breaks at cafes located near the museum. Visitors also positively review the museum's own cafe.

45–60 minutes is sufficient to explore the two-story museum. The exhibition area is on a more modest scale compared to large museums; therefore, you can combine it with other museums and historical sites in Eskişehir to create a full-day cultural tour.

Müzekart is valid for entry to the museum. Müzekart holders can visit without paying an additional fee. Please confirm the current ticket price from an official source before your visit. If you haven't obtained a Müzekart yet, you can get one via muze.gov.tr; the card is quite advantageous if you plan to visit multiple museums in Eskişehir.

During the winter period, the closing time is moved to 17:00; plan your visit accordingly, especially on short winter days. Although the museum has two floors, the exhibition area is limited, so do not expect the scope of large archaeological museums. It may be helpful to call the museum in advance regarding wheelchair access. Pay attention to the signs inside the museum before taking photos.

There are numerous cafes and restaurants near the museum, spread throughout the historical texture of Odunpazarı. In the area, you can taste local street foods unique to Eskişehir, such as çibörek and pişi. There is also a cafe inside the museum; visitors positively review the attentive staff and the cafe.
