Belek Gazi Monument

Belek Gazi was the grandson of Artuk Bey, one of Sultan Alparslan's commanders during the Seljuk period, and the son of Behram Bey. He is still remembered in Harput and its surroundings as a commander known for his campaigns against the Crusader armies. The monument brings his military identity to the forefront by depicting him on horseback.
