Visited last week ( Sept 2026 ) and while I’m skeptical to say the least it was still worth seeing. The visitor’s centre is small and when I arrived there was a very small tour group listening to a lecture on why it’s believed these are the petrified remains of the Ark.
Very nice scenery and the drive down was particularly spectacular with Mt Ararat in the foreground.
I was also able to stop and take photos of the traffic tail back from the Iranian border.

Ağrı Meteor Çukuru….I tried last week ( Sept 2026 ) to visit this site after leaving Noah’s Ark ‘claimed’ location. The tail back of commercial traffic from the border crossing was nearly 5 Kms long so I couldn’t even get close enough to attempt the turn off to where the crater is located.
