Visiting Aşar Highland offers different experiences in all four seasons; however, spring and autumn stand out as the most popular periods. Between April and June, every corner of the highland is covered with colorful flowers, and the cool weather makes hiking extremely enjoyable. In September-October, the autumn scenery with trees turning yellow and orange captivates photography enthusiasts.

For visitors overwhelmed by the scorching heat of the Adana plain in summer, the highland serves as a natural cool escape point. In winter, road access can become difficult due to snow and ice; it is advisable to check road conditions before planning a visit during this period.

To reach the highland from Adana city center, first take the E-90 highway to Pozantı district. The journey from Adana to Pozantı takes approximately 45 minutes by highway. After Pozantı, turn onto the highway towards Çamardı and at the 14th kilometer, turn northwest, which is to the left. After this turn, continue for about 1.5 km to reach the highland.

The last 1.5 km of the road is unpaved (dirt road), so it is recommended to prefer high-clearance or 4x4 vehicles. Those wishing to come by public transport can use bus services from Adana to Pozantı; however, a private or rental car is required to reach the highland from Pozantı.

Aşar Highland, with its vast green areas framed by the silhouette of the Taurus Mountains, serves as a natural studio for photography enthusiasts. In spring, wide-angle shots featuring flower fields are prominent, while in autumn, it is possible to capture the mountain scenery together with the yellow-orange leaf texture.

Early morning hours offer the most dramatic photo opportunities due to fog and soft light. The panoramic view extending to the Pozantı valley when looking from the high points of the highland is also a shot not to be missed. Adana kebab, an indispensable part of Adana cuisine, as well as local soups and homemade desserts, can also be found in Pozantı. Preparing a picnic basket and bringing it to the highland is both a practical and enjoyable option; you can set up a beautiful table in the middle of nature with fresh bread, cheese, and seasonal fruits.

Since the last 1.5 km of the road to the highland is unpaved, it is recommended to pay attention to vehicle selection. It may be difficult to pass this section with low-clearance vehicles. In winter and early spring, ice and mud may form on the road, so it is advisable to check the weather conditions beforehand.

Pozantı district, although part of Adana, is a settlement located within the Taurus Mountains, distinctly differing from the Çukurova plain in terms of climate and geography.
