The most suitable period to visit the Red Bridge is between April and October. The mountain roads leading to Bahçesaray can close due to heavy snow in winter; especially between November and March, it is necessary to check road conditions before setting off. In spring, the stream's waters rise and the area around the bridge turns green; this period is quite beautiful for both photography and the general atmosphere. In mid-summer, temperatures in the region remain mild and roads are fully open.

To reach Bahçesaray from Van city center, you need to proceed southwest using the D300 highway. The journey takes approximately 2-2.5 hours. After turning onto the Bahçesaray-Hizan road, you will see the bridge when you reach the Mükus Stream. It is located on the right side of the road, just before the junction leading to Feqiyê Teyran's tomb. Public transportation options are quite limited, so going by car is the most reliable method. Minibus services from Van operate to Bahçesaray; however, you may need to arrange separate transportation for the last few kilometers to the bridge.

The Red Bridge, along with its simple surrounding nature, offers a strong photographic frame. The angle where the Mükus Stream passes under the bridge provides impressive shots, especially in spring when the water level is high. The step-free inclined structure of the bridge can best be seen from a side angle. At midday, when the sun directly hits the bridge, the golden hour light accentuates the texture of the stones. Since the surroundings are completely natural and undeveloped, the background remains clean and simple.

You can combine the Red Bridge with other points of interest around Bahçesaray for a full day. Starting early from Van, you can first visit the Red Bridge, then proceed to the nearby Feqiyê Teyran's tomb. After a lunch break in Bahçesaray town center, it is also possible to stop by Muradiye Waterfall on the way back; however, this route requires a car and you need to allow sufficient time during the day.

There are no facilities, cafes, or restrooms around the bridge; it is important to take care of your basic needs before setting off. Roads in the region may close in winter, so always check current road conditions for off-season visits. Since the bridge is an active historical structure, it is necessary to avoid behaviors that could damage it. Signal strength may be weak in the area, so downloading an offline map will make the journey easier.
