Muratlı İnanlı Recreation Area

The best time to visit İnanlı Recreation Area is between April–June and September–October. During these months, the weather is suitable for picnics, and the surrounding greenery is captivating. Although Tekirdağ's temperature rises in July and August, the wooded area provides shade; the recreation area can be quite crowded on weekends. In winter, walking paths may be wet and muddy, so choose sturdy footwear.

The easiest way to reach the recreation area is by private vehicle. From Tekirdağ city center, follow the D110 highway to Muratlı town center, and from there, proceed to İnanlı village. The total distance is approximately 30 km, and the journey takes 30–35 minutes.

For those preferring public transport, there are bus and minibus lines operating between Tekirdağ and Muratlı. After getting off in Muratlı town center, you can reach the recreation area by taxi or village minibuses. We recommend researching schedules and routes in advance.

There is a 200 square meter restaurant within the recreation area. On busy weekends, tables fill up quickly; making a reservation in advance or bringing your own food and drinks can be a practical solution. The 30 barbecue units in the area offer a barbecue experience for those who bring their own supplies. You can also find various restaurants and cafes in Muratlı town center.

The historical İnanlı Fountain is the most photographed spot in the recreation area. In the morning light, the stone craftsmanship of the fountain and the surrounding greenery make for beautiful shots. You can also capture natural compositions around the amphitheater and along the wooded walking path. The section of the bicycle path that runs along the Meriç River is a good option for capturing river and nature views together.

2–3 hours is sufficient to comfortably explore the recreation area and complete the walking path. For those planning a barbecue or picnic, half a day is more reasonable. Those who want to add the bicycle track to their program, especially considering the 10 km route along the Meriç River, can spend a full day.

Although there are 30 units available for barbecuing, these areas fill up quickly on weekends and holidays; it is recommended to arrive before noon to reserve a spot. Wear comfortable walking shoes on the walking path; the brick dust surface can be slippery in wet weather. Be careful not to leave your picnic supplies and trash in the area. Since there are only 2 children's playgrounds, there might be waiting times on crowded days.

Muratlı İnanlı Recreation Area is operated by Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality. Opened in 2016, the area, with its 37,000 square meter size, is the most comprehensive outdoor leisure spot in Muratlı district. Changing rooms and toilet facilities are also available in the area. While entrance is free, we recommend calling Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality in advance for current conditions regarding restaurant and barbecue services.
