Tödürge Lake is located on the Sivas-Erzurum highway, 50 km from Sivas, between the districts of Hafik and Zara. It is a karstic lake, fed by underwater springs and the Acısu Stream, and its water is rich in sulfate salts. Its surface area is approximately 3.5 square kilometers, with an average depth of around 2 meters. It is Sivas's largest lake and contains two islands.
Tödürge Wetland is one of Turkey's important birdwatching spots. Species such as storks, cranes, ruddy shelducks, white-tailed eagles, and western marsh harriers can be observed in the region. According to some sources, when the water level rises, hundreds of storks use the lake as a feeding ground. It is stated that 8 to 17 fish species live in the lake, with numbers varying between sources. Boat, dinghy, and pedal boat tours, as well as diving and angling, are possible; there is a social facility on the shore.
