Amazon Village

The area is open for visits all four seasons, but visitors frequently mention that it is quite hot in summer. Spring and autumn months are more favorable both in terms of temperature and for enjoying the green texture of Batıpark. It can also be visited in winter; the region becomes more lively when the nearby ski slope is active. Since the area opens at 12:00 on Mondays, it is not advisable to plan for that day before noon.

Amazon Village is located within Batıpark in Samsun's İlkadım district. It is approximately 27 km from the airport and about 8 km from the city bus terminal. It is possible to reach Batıpark by urban buses. Parking is available for those coming by car; visitors state that transportation is convenient.

30 to 45 minutes is sufficient for Amazon Village. Although some visitors say it can be explored in 10 minutes, half an hour is a more realistic time for those who want to carefully examine the caves, wax scenes, and statues. When combined with the large area of Batıpark and other nearby activities, a half-day program can be created.

For those planning a day in Samsun, combining Amisos Hill with Amazon Village on the same day is a logical option. After enjoying the city view from Amisos Hill in the morning, you can move to Batıpark to visit Amazon Village, and then take a carriage tour within the park. Thanks to its proximity to the Black Sea coast, it is also possible to complete the rest of the day with a coastal walk.

The strongest photo spot in the area is the approximately 14-meter-high giant Amazon woman statue rising at the entrance and the lion figures on either side. The light in front of these statues changes depending on the sun's position during the day; softer light can be captured in the morning hours. The wax life scenes within the village also offer interesting corners for detailed photography.

Museum Pass is not valid in this area; you need to pay the entrance fee with cash or card. Adult admission is stated as 30 TL, and student admission as 10 TL; confirm the current price with official sources before visiting. On Mondays, the area is open from 12:00 onwards, while on other days it can be visited earlier. An optional guided tour is also available and stated as 30 TL. Visitor comments show that setting expectations correctly beforehand directly affects the visit experience; this area is not an archaeological site or a museum, but a mythological-themed thematic park.

There is a cafeteria and souvenir area within Batıpark. For more comprehensive dining options, it is better to head to Samsun city center or the restaurants along the coast. Samsun's unique pita varieties and Black Sea cuisine's fish dishes can be easily found in the city.
