Spring and summer months are the most suitable times to visit the canyon. The sound of the water is more pronounced after rainfall, a detail often mentioned by visitors. Even those who go in rainy weather say the canyon remains impressive.

From Ordu city center, proceed by road towards Ulubey; the asphalt road continues uninterrupted. According to sources, the distance varies between 32 and 39 km; the difference is due to the route taken. Before reaching Ulubey district, turn from the Karakoca Neighborhood road junction towards Kardeşler Neighborhood, and from there, signs direct you to the canyon. Going by your own car is the most practical option. Public transportation options may be limited, confirm current transportation information before going.

The canyon's hiking trail is short, so those who only want to see the canyon can finish in 1-2 hours. However, those who take a breakfast or tea break at the business by the side, spending time enjoying the view, can stay here for up to half a day. For those planning to combine it with the nearby Ohtamış Waterfall, the day is more fulfilling. Some visitors state that coming to the canyon alone might not be enough.

Leaving Ordu city center early in the morning, first visiting Ohtamış Waterfall, then proceeding to Küpkaya Canyon, is a logical route. The two points are approximately half an hour apart. After having breakfast at the canyon, trying the zipline, and completing the hiking trail, you can return to Ulubey district center in the afternoon to end the day. It is stated that the last 300 meters of the road may be dirt on some routes, so consider this when choosing footwear.

At the family-run business by the canyon, local breakfast, gözleme, freshly prepared börek, and samovar tea are prominent flavors. Visitors often write that the breakfast is varied and satisfying, and the prices are not exaggerated. The menu is not very extensive. Expect a simple but friendly table, not a grand restaurant experience. One comment mentioned the tea price for May 2026 as 25 TL; it is healthier to confirm current prices on site.

Remember that the hiking trail is short; if you are traveling a long distance just to see the canyon, adjust your expectations accordingly. Some visitors state that they were disappointed for this reason, especially those who came without combining it with other nearby points.
