Kumburnu Beach, located next to Fethiye's Ölüdeniz lagoon, is a preferred beach for families with its fine sand and calm, shallow sea; paragliders soaring above from Babadağ are its characteristic sight.
Kumburnu Beach stretches along the edge of the world-famous blue lagoon in Ölüdeniz, Fethiye district of Muğla. Thanks to its sheltered location, the sea almost always remains calm, which is the main factor attracting families, especially those with children. The beach's fine, light-colored sand, combined with the turquoise shallow waters, creates a postcard-worthy scene.
Paragliders taking off from the steep slopes of Babadağ and gliding over the beach have become an integral part of Kumburnu. Swimming in the sea while watching colorful wings dance in the sky elevates this place from an ordinary beach to something truly special. Even during Ölüdeniz's busy tourist season, the section of Kumburnu facing the lagoon can remain relatively calm.
