Gaziantep experiences very hot summers. For the most enjoyable visit to the park, choose the months of April–May and September–October. During these periods, the poplar grove offers a shady and lush green appearance. Reaching the park by Gaziantep's public transport network is quite easy. There are two cafes within the park; hot and cold beverages and light snacks can be obtained here. For those planning a long walk or a picnic, it would be more practical to bring water and food with them.

Numerous restaurants and cafes line Gazi Muhtar Paşa Boulevard, right next to the park. If you want to taste Gaziantep's famous cuisine, you can complete your park visit with a kebab or baklava break in the area.

The most striking photo spot in the park is the poplar grove picnic area. The natural corridor formed by long rows of poplars offers truly impressive shots in autumn yellow or morning light.
