The period between late May and early September is the most productive time, when the water flows abundantly and coolly. On weekends in July and August, the area becomes quite crowded; the intensity at the establishment can also lead to delays in orders. Going on weekday mornings offers a calmer experience and makes it easier to find parking and a table. Spring and summer months should be preferred, as road conditions can worsen in winter.

To reach Mıhlı Stream, you need to follow the Altınoluk-Çanakkale highway. After approximately 5 km from Altınoluk center, when you see the Başdeğirmen Mevkii sign, turn onto the stabilized road. From this point on, the route is narrow, dirt, and bumpy; visitors state that the road is extremely rough, that two vehicles cannot pass side-by-side in some places, and that sedans may scrape their undersides. Instead of going with large vehicles (minibus, long chassis, etc.), prefer high-clearance or high-traction vehicles.

There is no direct access by public transport. A taxi or private car from Altınoluk or Küçükkuyu is the most practical option.

There are many restaurants and cafes in Altınoluk and Küçükkuyu; it might be wise to consider these options when coming to the region.

Mıhlı Stream can easily be included in a route exploring the northern coast of the Edremit Gulf. Those staying in Altınoluk can go to Mıhlı Stream early in the morning and spend a few hours there, then extend their trip to the ancient city of Assos (Behramkale) via Küçükkuyu. Sütuven Waterfall and Gürleyik Waterfall within Mount Ida National Park are also among the points that can be added to the same travel route. Considering the rough road, leaving early will allow you to benefit from daylight on the return journey.

The closest accommodation center to Mıhlı Stream is Altınoluk; this district offers a wide range of options from guesthouses to boutique hotels, providing easy access to both the sea and mountain routes. Küçükkuyu can also be a comfortable base point in a similar way.
