In winter, access can be difficult due to the stabilized nature of the road; we recommend checking road conditions before going during this period.

The most practical way to reach Belemedik Highland is by private car. From Adana city center, travel approximately 110-117 km by road towards Pozantı; this distance corresponds to about 1.5-2 hours. After reaching Pozantı district center, you can arrive at the highland by following the stabilized road that passes through Anbaş Village. The Adana-Pozantı highway route makes this journey quite comfortable.

For those coming by public transport, regular bus services are available from Adana to Pozantı. After arriving in Pozantı, you can opt for local minibus lines or taxis to reach the highland. This route, popular among motorcycle travelers, also holds a special appeal for those seeking driving pleasure with its winding and scenic nature.

When planning your visit to Belemedik, we recommend seeing the historical train station first. This structure, standing for over a century, offers a strong testimony to the region's railway history. Afterwards, you can proceed to the area where the approximately 150-year-old historical tunnels are located; these tunnels are part of the railway infrastructure built by German engineers during World War I.

The 20 km long valley along the Çakıt Stream offers a wonderful route for hiking. Those who do not wish to walk the entire valley can drive to certain points and take short walks. The picnic and camping areas located at various points in the valley are suitable for a lunch break or overnight stay. Almost every corner of the valley along the Çakıt Stream offers beauty in every frame; reflection photos taken from the bridges over the stream are particularly impressive. During autumn, when the leaves change color, the color transitions you encounter while walking along the valley create a perfect backdrop for wide-angle shots.

If you are camping, be careful with fires; especially in summer, the risk of fire increases. Those planning long hikes must carry sufficient water, snacks, and appropriate footwear. Belemedik Highland is perfect for a day trip that can be easily made from Adana or Pozantı. If you leave early in the morning and return in the afternoon, you can comfortably visit the picnic areas and historical tunnels. Planning a visit of approximately 4-6 hours during this time is a reasonable option.

However, if you want to explore the full depth of the valley, complete the 20 km hiking route, or camp under the stars, you need to plan for at least an overnight stay. The camping areas in the region are quite suitable for this experience. There are also accommodation options in Pozantı district center; from there, you can depart for the highland early in the morning.
