Considering that Adana's summers are quite hot and humid, the ideal times to visit Hasan Ağa Mosque are during spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October). In terms of time of day, early mornings offer a quiet visit away from the crowds. During congregational prayer times, especially Friday prayer, be careful not to disturb worshippers when entering; outside of these hours, the mosque is open to visitors.

Hasan Ağa Mosque is located in the historical center of Adana, the Old Adana region, right behind Yağ Mosque. This makes it quite easy to reach from any point in the city.

You can take city buses to the Old Adana or Seyhan central stops and reach the mosque with a few minutes' walk. Its central location also provides great convenience for those who prefer taxis or ride-sharing apps. Since parking can sometimes be difficult in the immediate vicinity, it is recommended to use public transport or walk if possible.

Hasan Ağa Mosque, with its cut stone facade and single-balcony minaret, is an interesting stop for photography enthusiasts. The best angle to capture the stone craftsmanship and proportions of the building's exterior is from the south and west corners of the mosque.

In the morning light, the color of the stone turns golden yellow, while in the afternoon, shadows make the architectural details more prominent. You can also include the surrounding Ottoman-era structures in your frame to reflect the holistic atmosphere of the historical neighborhood. If you are taking photos inside, remember to show respect to worshippers and avoid using flash if possible.

Hasan Ağa Mosque holds a special place in architectural history as the only structure in Adana that bears the characteristics of Ottoman classical era architecture. Completely built from cut stone, the structure covers an area of approximately 24 x 36.45 meters from exterior to exterior.

The mosque's single-domed sanctuary section is supported by four round columns, and a simple yet impressive atmosphere prevails inside. The colorful stone decorations, also seen in Ottoman mosques in Northern Syria and surrounding provinces, give the structure a regional identity. The current minaret was renovated in 1730, and the structure underwent a comprehensive renovation in 1813 to reach its present robust state.

Hasan Ağa Mosque is a natural part of the walking route in Adana's historical center. We recommend combining your visit with Yağ Mosque; since the two structures are very close to each other, they can easily be visited on the same day.

From here, you can take a short walk to Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque) and then to Adana's symbol, the Taşköprü (Stone Bridge). If you also include the historical bazaar areas in your route, you will have explored Adana's Ottoman and pre-Ottoman heritage in a single day. Carrying plenty of water along the route is very important, especially in summer months.

Hasan Ağa Mosque is an active place of worship. During your visit, make sure your shoulders and knees are covered; you must remove your shoes before entering the mosque. Female visitors are expected to cover their heads; a headscarf may not be available at the mosque entrance, so it is practical to bring one with you.

During congregational prayer times, especially Friday prayer, it is more appropriate to avoid tourist visits both out of respect for worshippers and for your own comfort.
