Since Burdur is located 1,000 meters above sea level, its climate is cooler and more continental compared to the Mediterranean coasts. June and July are the most popular months for Lake Salda. The nearest airport is Isparta Süleyman Demirel Airport. From there, it's approximately a 1-hour road journey to Burdur city center. Antalya Airport is also an alternative, from which it's possible to reach Burdur in about 2-2.5 hours.

For those traveling by their own car, Burdur is approximately 572 km from Istanbul, 425 km from Ankara, and 385 km from Izmir. Road connections are quite good, and reaching the city offers a comfortable driving experience.
