Sakarya Martyrs' and Victory Monument Museum

The Sakarya Martyrs' and Victory Monument Museum was established to keep alive the memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle of Sakarya, which changed the course of the War of Independence. Located in the Şehitler Kaşı area of Polatlı district, Ankara, within the Sakarya Field Battle Historical National Park, the facility opened its doors on August 6, 2006.

The facility consists of three main elements: the body of the monument, the sculpture section, and the museum building. The Mehmetçik Monument, designed by sculptor Sait Rüstem, makes visitors feel the spirit of that era, while the museum building focuses on the history of the battle with its simple architecture.
