The dry season (December-April) offers more comfortable weather, and the Carnival festival takes place in February-March. If you want to experience the energetic atmosphere of Carnival, this period is essential.

Keep in mind that hurricane season is between April and November, but the risk of a major hurricane is quite low. As summer is the quietest period, it can be a good choice for individual travelers. The weather remains hot and humid, but the sea water is at a wonderful temperature.

Piarco International Airport (Port of Spain, Trinidad) is the main entry point. From Turkey, one or two transfers are usually required鈥攐ften via London, Frankfurt, or hub cities in the Caribbean region. The total flight duration is 12-16 hours. If you want to go from Trinidad to Tobago, there are options for a short flight (15 minutes) or a scheduled ferry service (2-3 hours).

If you only want beaches and a relaxed pace, 3 days in Tobago is sufficient. For culture enthusiasts and nature lovers, spending an extra day in Trinidad is recommended鈥攈especially if you have a Caroni Bird Sanctuary tour.

Day 1-2 (Trinidad): Arrive in Port of Spain, explore the city, visit its museums (National Museum, Museo de Arte Moderno). In the evening, experience local reception. On Day 2, take a tour to Caroni Bird Sanctuary (sunset tours are most popular).

Day 3-4 (Trinidad beaches): Head to Maracas Bay, enjoy the beach, taste fish cakes. The next day, explore Las Cuevas or Toco. Day 5-6 (Tobago): Take a ferry or short flight to Tobago. Staying next to the beach will increase the cost, but avoiding hassle is important. Scarborough, Tobago, offers more central and economic options.
